Before preparing your samples for PhenoCycler (CODEX) imaging in the Enable lab, here is some terminology as used by our team:

Acceptable Samples


  1. Formalin-fixed, paraffin embedded (FFPE) tissue blocks.
  2. Formalin-fixed, paraffin embedded (FFPE) tissue sections (3-7 microns) on coverslips or slides.

Please use standard fixation methods to preserve integrity. Fixation with 10% neutral-buffered formalin for 6-72 hours is recommended.

  1. Flash or fresh frozen tissue samples in OCT blocks.
